It would appear in Revelation 13 and other places that the Devil does perform the miraculous. Jesus said that he would, Mat 24:24 "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Paul explains this: 2Th 2:9-11 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie. Notice what Paul says, "lying wonders... unrighteous deception....among those..who...did not receive the love of the truth". It seems that the signs and wonders that the enemy performs, even rising himself from the dead, will be some sort of lie and deception. He is the master deceiver! It sees also that the only people who will believe that these lies are legitimate, are those who won't believe the truth. Jesus said that only the elect will not be deceived although if they weren’t elect they would have believed it. I would be very surprised if the anti-christ would go around opening the eyes of one born blind, raising beloved people from the dead or cleansing lepers. I think he will be self focused, and will only perform signs to bolster his image, show his power and further his cause. And yet again we see a lot of hucksters today who make a big show out of healing ministries and scam the crowd to deceive the gullible and make themselves rich, with false signs. In John 9, I believe that Jesus did a special miracle by creating from the ground what was missing for this man born blind. And only God can create something from the dust of the earth.
